SCEC replaced the existing roofing systems on five buildings on the land-locked campus. The coal tar pitched roofs were replaced with TPO membrane flat roofing systems, which will reduce energy consumption and operating costs for the campus.

SCEC developed multiple phasing plans for coordination of construction. The occupied campus remained in full operation.  In addition to the metal roof replacement, envelope improvements included window waterproofing and exterior repainting.
