I-95 TRI-RAIL
SOUND BARRIER WALL
Scope of work for this Design-Build project included the construction of a 3,400 lf, 22' high precast sound barrier wall in a restricted corridor between a residential community and the Florida East Coast railway, adjacent to I-95. Project included significant limitations on work zone space and required constant coordination with Tri-Rail through flagmen and radiomen and the powering down and dismounting of equipment before each passing train. Numerous underground utility relocations were required and SCEC performed all earthwork and demolition. Project was completed 189 days early and without interfering with Tri-Rail's schedule.
