SCEC SUPPORTS SUSTAINABLE EFFORTS FOR SDPBC

SCEC is currently serving as the School District of Palm Beach County’s Construction Management at Risk firm on two renovation projects at

Bear Lakes Middle School. In an effort to divert demolition waste from the landfill and support the sustainable efforts of the SDPBC, we successfully recycled approximately 80,000 SF of acoustical ceiling tile through the Armstrong Ceilings Recycling Program. SCEC had field crews remove and stack all ceiling tiles on pallets and strapped together with plastic wrap to keep them dry. All pallets were then loaded on a container truck headed to the Armstrong Reclamation Facility in Macon, Georgia.
