SCEC BEGINS MAJOR RENOVATIONS AT MIAMI-DADE MIDDLE SCHOOL

SCEC crews are onsite to begin major renovations at Kinloch Park Middle School in Miami.

SCEC looks forward to working with Miami-Dade County Public Schools (MDCPS) to update the middle school, which serves more than 900 students. The existing school buildings date to 1952.

The renovation scope includes a new chiller system to provide efficient campus-wide cooling, including complete replacement of chillers, cooling towers, and underground chilled water lines. Renovations of 26 classrooms will include new windows, exterior doors, stucco, and interior/exterior painting, and four group restrooms will be renovated.

SCEC will be completing the project under a Construction Management at Risk contract with MDCPS. The school improvements represent one of the County’s General Obligation Renovation Bond projects.

The scheduled substantial completion date is July 30, 2017.
