SCEC AWARDED SECOND PHASE OF WEST MIAMI PUBLIC SERVICES CENTER

The West Miami City Commission has awarded SCEC a design-build contract for the second phase of the City’s Public Services Center.

This phase will start with demolition of the City’s existing 70-year-old, 2,000 square feet Public Works office. In its place, and attached to the new Public Services Center building completed by SCEC in October 2016, SCEC will construct a high-bay garage addition to service City vehicles. The 3,200 square feet addition will feature two bays with steel roll-up doors in addition to a staff breakroom and locker room with restroom and shower.

SCEC plans to break ground on Phase 2 by April. SCEC’s design-build team includes the same design partners from the successful first phase: Carty Architecture, Project Caine Engineering, and Martinez Engineering Group.
